Wash off life's stresses with sensory invitations and soothing mindfulness
Join Madison Traviss at Welch Farm Preserve for an afternoon "bathing in the forest," inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku. During this 2-hour experience, we will stroll leisurely, observe deeply, and reflect thoughtfully, both as a group and individually. Experience the restorative benefits of our natural world, and learn to integrate these tools into your daily practice of presence.
Participants should wear close-toed shoes and weather appropriate attire. Due to unpredictable end-of-March weather, consider bringing an extra layer along with a raincoat. Also bring water, snacks, something to sit on such as a yoga mat or blanket, and anything else that would make your time outside with us comfortable. This outing is suitable for adults and children over the ages of 12, and anyone who can walk a mile on flat, grassy terrain. Space is limited for the enjoyment of the participants! Please leave pets at home.
This event will occur on Friday March 27th from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Welch Farm Preserve.
